VENUE SAFETY

We deeply value the health and well-being of our community and are taking enhanced precautions for your safety. Please read through our updated studio policies to prepare you for booking studio space and visiting our Chez Bushwick facility. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions and concerns. STUDIO POLICIES

The Chez Bushwick studio is available for solo rentals only. Rentals are first come, first served.

Stay at home if you are feeling sick.
Please do not visit Chez Bushwick if you have a fever or any COVID-19  symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or have had close contact with anyone who is confirmed or is suspected of having COVID-19. Please fill out this venue safety & contact tracing form prior to your arrival at Chez Bushwick.

Face Coverings
Face coverings that cover the nose and mouth must be worn at all times for visitors aged 2 and older inside the Chez Bushwick facility. Face masks with exhalation valves will not be allowed. Face shields are permitted, but must be worn in conjunction with a face mask.

Social Distancing
Please follow signage and stay six feet apart in all common spaces throughout the facility.

Food and Drink
Water/Non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in the studio space, but food is not permitted.

Contactless Payment
We encourage all renters to pay online when booking space, to help minimize contact.

Equipment
Due to state mandates, we must discontinue use of shared equipment. Because of this, renters must bring their own music stereo/speaker/devices and any other chairs/props needed for their rental. There are several bluetooth pills available to book for your rental free of charge, depending on date/availability.

Hygiene Stations
There will be readily available hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes in the studio. We encourage renters to make use of this and to please wipe down used surfaces where possible (doorknobs, light switches, faucet handles, etc) before leaving the studio. There is a bathroom with soap and running water available in the studio for hand washing.

Ventilation
The safest indoor space is one that constantly has lots of  outside air  replacing the stale air inside. We are lucky to have three different means of air circulation: a strong AC system, overhead fans, and two beautiful walls of windows. At least one set of windows should remain permanently open throughout the rental period to keep fresh air constantly flowing through the space. Renters are encouraged to open more windows throughout their rental period. We also encourage visitors to utilize the fans and AC system to ventilate the space and regulate temperature as well.

Circulation Routes
We are lucky to have a separate entrance and exit to our facility, to help mitigate flow. All arrivals must be done on the Boerum street entrance. All exits must be done through the White Street exit door.

Contact Tracing
For the safety of all staff and renters, all visitors must fill out this Liability Waiver & Health Screener prior to arrival. We may share your name and email address with a governmental health authority should that information be requested for a COVID-19 contact tracing purposes.  For any questions, please contact: studio@jonahbokaer.net

Travel Restrictions
New York State has mandated that travelers from states designated as having significant COVID-19 community spread are required to do a 14 day quarantine upon arriving in New York. Travelers from these states may not visit Chez Bushwick during this period. See the list of included states  here.

Risk and Compliance
We reserve the right to require that visitors who do not adhere to studio policies or follow posted safety guidelines from our staff leave the premises. Please know that there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any shared public space. While we are a low-risk indoor facility and take safety precautions very seriously, we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to COVID-19 during your visit. By entering the Chez Bushwick facility, you assume the risk of such exposure.

WHAT WE’RE DOING TO HELP

Daily cleanings
Our staff have all been briefed on proper ways to clean and disinfect, and will conduct daily cleanings in the studio space.

Health Screenings
Any staff that works on-site will commit to daily health screenings prior to entering Chez Bushwick.

Signage and Resources
There is safety signage posted all throughout our office and studio space, with important COVID-19 related information, guidelines, and resources.

Hygiene Stations
We will have readily available hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes available in the studio for renters to use. There is also a hand-washing station in the studio restroom with soap, warm running water, and disposable towels.

Compliance
We are staying up to date with, and following current mandatory NY State guidelines. We are also staying updated with CDC recommendations and guidelines regarding COVID-19.
